Today's flight was mostly trees, some roads and some rivers.


Kisangani appears to be quite a big city, and my route took me over the top of it out to a more uninhabited area where the airport is.



I was intrigued with the building with the sign on it (at the bottom below my plane), but I can't make out what it says. It reminds me of a Ross Dress for Less store.

Climbed to 11,000 something feet and zig-zagged to avoid this rather tall mountain in my path.


After that I could get quite low. There was thunder and lightning here but no rain.

Leaving Nairobi. I decided to take a short sight-seeing leg to see Mt. Kilimanjaro since it was so close. The real weather was lousy with very poor visibility. The sim couldn't even draw it correctly so I opted to set the weather to "fair" manually.


Kilimanjaro (on the left) is the biggest mountain in Africa and wasn't very far away so it showed up right away. The airport is on the other side of it.
