SMNI to SVTC, New Nickerie, Suriname to Tucupita, Venezuala
airport: Tucupita

'Doh! I forgot to turn on the screenshot program, so all I got was this last one. Not too exciting. Oh well. There were more thunderstorms this time.
A website about Tucupita, if you can read Spanish.
 48th leg: Sunday, May 22, 2005
SVTC to TVSC, Tucupita, Venezuela to Canouan, St. Vincent and the Grenadines
airport: Canouan
2.1 hours

This was a fun one! I think, if I'm reading the map right, those two peaks just barely visible above the fog are Carriacou Island.

Here I am heading in toward Canouan. Check out this link. It matches up!

It looks like if you land too late, you could go for a swim!

But I was in good shape. I didn't get wet.

 49th leg: Sunday, May 22, 2005
TVSC to TFFB, Canouan, St. Vincent and the Grenadines to Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe
airport: Baillif
2.4 hours

Made two legs again today. Leaving Canouan.

First glimpse of Basse-Terre in the fog. Had to fly off to the left and then hug the coastline for my landing.

I heard some thunder as I was arriving but no rain yet. According to this, it rains here a lot.

50th leg: Monday, May 23, 2005
TFFB to TJFA, Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe to Fajardo, Puerto Rico
airport: Diego Jimenez Torres
2.4 hours

Leaving Basse-Terre, still all foggy and heard more thunder. But it cleared up later on which was cool because Fajardo looks like quite a colorful place.
